I ordered this system to replace one I've had for 4 years that just died . The new cameras were connected to the same cables that I had already routed in the right places, so the installation was very easy. All hooked up and the monitor hooked up directly to the DVR and all four cameras are working. Hooray! The new cameras have a much better picture than the old ones, the IR is very good and they show a larger area. So far, so good. The problems started when I tried to follow the instructions that came with it to connect both my PC and smartphone. Directions are not good, not clear. I emailed the company about these issues and they replied 24 hours later saying I just had to read the instructions. Truth? I replied that I was not happy with the camper and was told that I would need to download an app on my phone so we could chat and they could help with the operation. They are 12 hours different from EST so I had to wait until evening to get help. Will was very nice and after about 30 minutes the app finally worked on the phone. He tried to run the browser version of the security app on the PC but it didn't work so after 2 hours and numerous breaks I started watching Youtube videos and finally found the one that allowed me to get the included security program up and running bring to . Now everything works fine. I'm very happy with the cameras and the system, but the instructions really need to be revised to properly install the system.
