My husband and I have phone jacks. He's got a bigger phone than mine, with a metal case that makes it heavier, so he prefers his security to the magnetic disk alternative we've attached to the air conditioner vent. With the magnet option and its more aggressive touchscreen approach, its phone becomes unstable and falls over at times. I don't have this problem with my phone/case. I prefer to quickly install and pull out the phone when I need it. Mounting on a pop jack requires a more focused approach. I often snatch my phone towards me while popping out the pop socket, feeling like I might break the adhesion holding the mount to our dash. It holds up every time and seems to be quite durable. However, I prefer not to gently rock the phone up and down to use the mount. I prefer to install it and pull it with a magnet.
