Due to unstable GDO consoles, I turned to Revain to find a better way. This dual channel relay box is very easy to program and install. The only issue we encountered was the German-made GDO "Sommer” door knob unit. It had three buttons (Lock, Light and Up-Stop-Down) on a digital logic board. Not a simple parallel circuit. The door went up but not down. I had to open the summer button box and solder the NO relay wires to the up-stop-down button. The other GDO was very easy as the Sears Craftsman GDO button worked great with a simple parallel connection. Both doors are now 100% secure. My wife loves the new remote control in her car. The summer remote control (similar to a USB stick) works too hard while driving. I recommend this system for its range and reliability. I would buy it again for anything that needs a 2 channel remote. For example arming and disarming an alarm system, opening the front door lock, etc. The only semi-problem I see with this Solidremote is that the encryption and rolling codes will probably make it impossible to use my "semi-smart house". . " Broadlink RM2. Pro to control GDO with Alexa. I don't think the RM2 Pro is intelligent enough to "learn" these more complex codes.
