Goodbye Cogeco, thanks Cisco!

I'm Canadian first. I bought it because it's the only Docsis 3 Cogeco that allows using a 3rd party internet client in my region. I read below that someone had trouble as there are no instructions. You connect the cable line. You connect the ethernet to either a router or a computer. You connect the power supply. You provide your serial number and Mac address (on the bottom of the modem and on the box). You plug it into your system and voila, you have internet. You can download the user guide for free from the Cisco website. The only problem I had was Cogeco delaying input with lame excuses like: we weren't logged in; we entered the wrong MAC address; the problem is that the modem was previously used with bell sympatico.really? Sympathetic DSL? After my new provider cleaned up all that junk, I went to work. So far it's faster than what I've had with RCA Thompson. My kids say it's faster for both their phones and online gaming. It's lightning fast when connected directly to my laptop and I've noticed that speeds have dropped when connected to my network, but I think this is most likely due to the need for a faster router as there are a few years old, or maybe only on Wi-Fi signal output from the basement. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with this modem so far and can recommend it.
