This fountain pen has come a long way. The first one I received had 1/2 inch tears in the clear plastic part so I decided to replace it; the second was ok. I've spent some time testing with a gravity siphon and water. Many reviews have said how the filling will leak. "I've had both leaks. This is due to a diaphragm issue between the clear plastic body and the red part of the barrel with breeches. To fix the body/barrel seal, you need to adjust. It can't be too tight or loose , and you may have to adjust it until you find where that sweet spot is.I tightened it all the way, then loosened it a little more than 3/4 turn and the leak stopped.The second issue is cleaning up. The hardest part is removing the spring, one person holds the spring and the second removes the sleeve, after which the whole assembly is easy to clean and dry.
