Great easy and inexpensive way to make cold brew coffee and tea, filter is of very good quality and durable. Ball Jar is "Ball" and not a cheap imitation. The included gasketed lid is nice to the touch and doesn't leak, but requires care when closing as the gasket traps the filter and jar and puts some strain on the threads. Not so easy compared to regular ball caps with stripes which are easy to install. I first had one of these and used it to cold brew coffee and tea at different times due to demand and not cross or contaminate the taste. I recently bought another one and will be using one for tea and the other for coffee. Even with a coarse grind I still noticed the grind stuck in the filter, I might not have gotten it out if I put it in the dishwasher but have I tried this method yet? It's ok as it stays at the bottom of the glass as you pour. The instructions are simple but I still can't quite match the taste of Peet's Baridi Cold Brew which I love, bold and smooth. Peet's sells Baridi Blend beans specifically for cold brewing, I'll try it to see if I can match the bottled version. results and purchased additional sphere or different sized glasses to hold a week's supply of iced tea and/or coffee for a week. Due to my sometimes sensitive stomach, gastritis problems that sometimes arise when I drink too much, I took a closer look at Cold Brew. Drinking very acidic coffee at work and reading about how to lower acidity in cold brew has been a win-win for me and so far it has helped. I looked at some drip systems and other more expensive cold brew methods, but after some research I narrowed it down to a simple filter screen in a ball jar and that was it.
