The BEST cold brew coffee maker. We tried some expensive ones. Most were awkward to work with and the glass was brittle. What makes it so good is the fine mesh stainless steel filter and silicone ring. Straight out of the box (after rinsing, of course) we poured the ground coffee into a strainer, leaving 1 inch on top (not even measuring it), then watched the filtered water quickly flow through, filling the bottle with Original Tea, like a paint . After a brief shake, it immediately got darker.

This is by far the best cold brew kit I've come across. I have never seen a micro filter fabric that is so durable and easy to care for. I just enjoyed my first coffee with it. To ensure the filter is emptied before emptying the set, I used a mesh can lid and placed the filter on top to allow it to drain into the jar and dry out the set a bit. This is a really good system. I have previously used the Ronco system which is identical to the toddy cold brew system but cheaper. County Line Kitchen's Cold Brew System is twice as efficient when it comes to cleaning, with the added benefit of no longer having to buy replacement caps or filters! Great easy and inexpensive way to make cold brew coffee and tea, filter is of very good quality and durable. Ball Jar is "Ball" and not a cheap imitation. The included gasketed lid is nice to the touch and doesn't leak, but requires care when closing as the gasket traps the filter and jar and puts some strain on the threads. I was really hoping that the cold brew approach of this product would be a more convenient alternative to Toddy's approach. The trick was that keeping the cold coffee in the same container it was brewed in meant one less container to clean. Plus, the stainless steel filter is dishwasher safe, so you don't have to buy replacement filters.
