Maybe the check engine light doesn't help.
Didn't help with check engine light (did all the flips suggesting I'm plugging it in wrong or it might take a few hundred miles etc). If it claims to be the original part, it must be. Considering the price, that should be the case. Bought a cheap hat from a local store and the light went out. But again, that's just my experience. I have read that it has helped others.
