The camera cover is really very thin as advertised. I bought it hoping to use it on my smartphone and it works great for this app. I have a phone case that covers the back and sides of the phone and the case fits into a holster. The sides of the case protrude from the screen by about a millimeter and after fitting this camera cover I was able to make sure it doesn't protrude from the case meaning it won't scrape off my holster. The installation is very easy. because the seller included a small strip of clear tape for each camera cover as a precaution. To attach, first stick the tape on the black (outer) side of the camera cover, then peel the tape off the back to reveal the adhesive. Use the clear tape at the top to position the camera cover on your device, then press and hold. It can be removed and rearranged if it was originally crooked or needs adjustment. Once you are sure of the final position, carefully remove the strip of clear tape from the top surface and you are done.
