There were a few less expensive options but we are so glad that we went with this one. The instructions contain very detailed measurements that will make or break your project. Also the rail that the door slides on does come in two pieces and when you connect them together it DOES maintain the 16in stud placement, there was some confusion in the questions and the comments about that. 2 reasons for only 4 stars: first we followed the measurments perfectly but our door ened up being 1” too long, partly that could be because we used bigger holes than needed to put the lag bolts theough for attaching the wheels but not entirely. So I’d recommend do a little extra measuring and error a little on the short side. Second where the rail attaches isn’t perfectly level, its pretty close but it’s off enough to make the wheel not want to sit on it. We have a 5 ft door so it makes it not want to stay all the way open.Final opinion, we’re building another barn door in our house and I will buy another one of these.
