Review on πŸ’Ž Durable DEWALT Diamond Grit Oscillating Tool Blade for Flush Cuts (DWA4242) by Jacob Seymour

The right tool for the right job

For me simply the perfect blade for cutting through cement plaster walls. I have a house that was built in 1939 where I'm redoing the electrical wiring and eventually I got tired of using a saw to open the walls for the wiring. The saw ended up doing more damage as I cut through one side of each batten and then started cutting the opposite side of each batten and the vibrations ended up ripping out more plaster than I intended. I burned 3 bimetal blades on my multi tool and didn't even make a single cut before deciding to try this diamond blade. For €10 it was worth trying. I have very high levels of cement and fine aggregate in my stucco walls without wire reinforcement and this blade is perfect for my application. Clean, easy cuts in plaster, then I have to switch to wooden blades to get through the slat, but got a lot easier with better results. I first cut out (6) 12" x 12" holes (so 24 lf of cement plaster) and I can't find any signs of wear. This alone costs $10 per blade.
