I was installing some things on the brick and foundation walls of my house and needed a good hammer drill and masonry drill bits. I have a pretty decent electric hammer drill, but I used cheap silver drill bits from other manufacturers to make the holes. The drill would have sufficed for maybe 4-10 holes but the holes appeared to be slightly larger than stated which meant my Tapcon screws did not turn well and some threads stripped and turned in the pre-drilled holes! The Bosch bits, which are longer (only 6 inches) and stronger (especially the cutter head), lasted much longer and only wore out after aggressive drilling, which must have encountered some rebar along the way. were ideal for two common Tapcon screw sizes, 5/32" and 3/16". good bite and I'm sure one of them will survive the walls of the house! The pouch that these bits come in is made from a nice thick plastic which means you can toss the bits in the pouch into your drill or tool box rather than worrying about the bits grinding or scratching other tools .
