In the past my dad used many things to align his saw. This Kreg product is great because it doesn't slip as much with the rubber and it also helps line up the cut without having to make extra marks or anything as you can just use your hands to line up the cut line and then close it stow . Great tool accessory, just mount it on your custom saw and you're done.
