Review on VAWcornic Scanner Adapter Diagnostic Android by Jose Mcdaniel

I have received this and started downloading the software but keep getting warnings that it may harm my computer (Chromebook). I decided against installing it because the software label is written in Chinese. This can be very secure, but it seems like they would submit the app to the Play Store if they were legit, which is not the case. The QR code can be sent to the store, but there is no reader on my computer. Overall I don't know how well this works, but I don't trust the software needed to run it. I just don't like the idea of bypassing the Play Store for apps and such on an Android device, it just defeats any built in security. I cracked open the case and it actually has a chipset inside, so it seems legitimately built for actual scanning. 1 star at best because of the questionable way it just looks. There are no documents in the box, just a QR code on the back and a website to access. So if you lose the package or it gets corrupted, you have no connections to the software. There's no brand name or anything like that on the case, it's just cheap thin plastic pieced together.
