Review on SABRE Wired Water Leak Flood Alarm 🌊 Sensor: 110 dB Siren & DIY EASY Installation by Rod Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Standby life is said to be up to 10 years, there are switches for test, on/off and volume

I measured the current consumption as follows: 0.8 Β΅A in standby mode, 40 mA at normal volume Alarm clock, 130mA at ultra-loud alarm volume. Using 750mAh AAA alkaline batteries, this should offer a standby time of over 10 years, limited by the battery expiration date, and a continuous wake-up time of 19 hours (normal) or 5 hours (very loud). I love that the device has such a long battery life as well as a battery check button and a power button so you can turn off the alarm while the leak is repaired. In addition, the device is very compact. I don't like that the alarm only works with wet fingers (kΞ© range), while the pawl (the best alarm in the industry) is easier to use even with dry fingers (MΞ© range). Hence only 4 stars for slightly reduced water sensitivity.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
