Review on SABRE Wired Water Leak Flood Alarm ๐ŸŒŠ Sensor: 110 dB Siren & DIY EASY Installation by Rod Evans

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Standby life is said to be up to 10 years, there are switches for test, on/off and volume

I measured the current consumption as follows: 0.8 ยตA in standby mode, 40 mA at normal volume Alarm clock, 130mA at ultra-loud alarm volume. Using 750mAh AAA alkaline batteries, this should offer a standby time of over 10 years, limited by the battery expiration date, and a continuous wake-up time of 19 hours (normal) or 5 hours (very loud). I love that the device has such a long battery life as well as a battery check button and a power button so you can turn off the alarm while the leak is repaired. In addition, the device is very compact. I don't like that the alarm only works with wet fingers (kฮฉ range), while the pawl (the best alarm in the industry) is easier to use even with dry fingers (Mฮฉ range). Hence only 4 stars for slightly reduced water sensitivity.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
