The first one I received had a broken mandrel/mandrel which caused the center drill to wobble enough that I could' don't drill a hole with it. I've tried removing and reinserting it, but no adjustment resulted in a stable circle. Luckily Revain quickly replaced it and the second one I got was much better. It still wasn't perfectly symmetrical, but I was able to cut four 6" holes in the 1/2" plywood. I actually used a different drill bit to drill the pilot hole and then used a bit of that combination of blades to cut the main hole. As recommended by many other reviews, I started in REVERSE mode and it worked great. About 1/3 of the way through the 1/2" plywood I lost my patience and tried to get back into FORWARD mode, thinking my existing groove would do just fine. I was wrong. Soon the big six appeared. A ring of teeth grabbed one of the layers of plywood and came to an abrupt stop, jerking my wrist.I went back into REVERSE mode and didn't try again.Overall I was glad I saved the money and got these instead of the more expensive ones Bought options but only because my job was limited to 4 holes, if I had planned to cut many more holes I would have bought the more expensive one so I wouldn't have to work as hard.
