I have a Glen L Fourteen (fourteen foot plywood sailboat) on a lake in the Adirondacks. It's old and the dagger board is starting to leak. With this panel I can dock my boat all season long with a small bilge pump connected to the battery and not worry about finding the boat on the bottom when I go there for the weekend. There is enough power for trolling weekends (I mainly use the boat for fishing). The best part is that I don't have to lug the battery to the campsite to charge it the next day of fishing as it charges all day. That alone was worth the price. For now I'm just putting it on the seat but when I install it I'll take a look at the fuse and diode as some others have posted here. When the season is over I plan to use this to power my RV's battery all winter. I love this panel.
