Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Enhanced FabPro Prototyping 3D Printer Material by Juan Huerta

Resin isn't bad, but now they're ratcheting up prices - 264% price increase in 6 months

System 3D printers aren't open source when it comes to resin. They have a built in scanner that scans the QR code on the bottle, so the resin you use has to be one of those. This is not the information they are disclosing. In the last few years I have used 7 different casting resins. That's the worst. However, it works. When I first bought this printer in September 2020, this particular resin cost me $101.53. About 6 months ago, 3D Systems started selling its entry-level fabpro1000 printers cheaply on Amazon. When this printer first came out, it cost 5,000. I paid about 1200. Now I look even cheaper. I took one because it was very similar to another brand I have. (Assuming these companies just buy cases in bulk from China and then attach a label to them. The "other" brand has excellent software and is open source, so I won't fall into the trap of using third-class resins. If you're going to print castings, do yourself a favor and buy the B9 Emerald Resin, this is a much better product and $100 cheaper for the same amount, in the long run this printer will prove to be a terrible one prove investment.
