I've been sitting in my garage for months waiting for the right moment to do my first oil change on my 2016 Golf R. it was easier. Please note this is the first time I have changed the oil on a car! To remove the oil: 1.) Open the hood after the oil temperature has reached approximately 130F. 2.) Remove oil dipstick. 3.) Connect the grease hose to the Mityvac 7201 and then the thin hose to this thick hose and then the other end of this thin hose to the dipstick hole and down (wait for it to reach the lower limit). 4.) Make sure Mityvac is set to Evacuate on the small up/down button. 5.) Inflate about 10 times. 6.) Go for a cup of coffee! 7.) Come back in about 15 minutes or so. Ready! It really couldn't be easier. You'll know when the extraction is over when the air gurgles, or you'll see the level in the Mityvac tank not rising. old oil in the same containers to take to the workshop for disposal. It's that easy: To drain the old oil: 1.) Switch the Mityvac button to "drain". 2.) Place the end of the hose in one of the waste oil containers. 3.) Update Mityvac about 10 times. .4.) If you are using smaller oil containers (I used 1 liter containers) then of course you have to STOP the flow to change the container. You do this by pulling on the little black "thing" at the top of the lid. You'll hear the release of air while holding this black thing up, which will stop the flow! If the hose is still dripping a bit, you can always put the Mityvac in "Evac” mode and pump a few times to make sure the hose doesn't leak when you change the tank.) On the Golf R, the filter is also on top of the engine, next to the dipstick. All you need is a new filter and o-ring (included with the OEM filter) and a 32mm hex wrench to remove. This part only takes a few minutes! All in all it was the perfect addition to my garage and again - remember this is my first oil change. Hooray! 5 out of 5 stars. great product
