Review on Kwikset 98880-004 SmartCode 888 Z-Wave Plus Smart Lock Touchpad Electronic Deadbolt in Satin Nickel with SmartKey Security by Lamont Manjrekar

I installed 3 of these in a new house after installing 3 others in another house. Installation is pretty easy BUT make sure you don't receive a defective device. Especially after receipt, please check all the details carefully before you start the installation. The latch (inner handle) must be oriented correctly so that the triangle on the inside of the lid is facing up as shown. If this is not the case, the handle will not align with the locking pawl. The lock cannot be installed if it is not properly aligned. You don't want to discover this AFTER you're more than halfway through the installation process. 2 out of 3 locks had this issue but a quick refund and replacement of the Revain solved the problem. Functionally, the lock is great and we have linked it to our Smart Things Center in both houses. Batteries last a long time (6+ months) with constant use and we change ours when we set our clocks for daylight savings time and change the batteries in our smoke alarms. any other locks you have.
