I bought two cheaper models that failed right out of the box. But this little gem plugged right in, installed and worked fantastic. This model costs about $10 more than the all-plastic models, but the build quality and performance are outstanding. The 75w output actually beats the old 150/200w Weller gun I've been using for years. It goes from room temperature to flowing solder like a river in less than 10 seconds. It's really cool when making heavy duty battery cables for lipo batteries in the RC hobby. Height 10 ha. Cables to the ends of the battery, fill the solder and in a matter of seconds without overheating and melting the battery poles ex works, fill the solder and off, done. heavy pad flooding on PCBs, PCB spot soldering through a hole, and even high Ha solder joints. wire in seconds. I would love to be able to add more stars than the five I gave.
