What a joke for office electronics

I bought this scanner because I thought I could use it with a computer that isn't connected to the network. Well, to find out, you need to have an internet connection to install the software. Even if you try to connect to USB, there is a red label saying install software from CD before plugging it into your computer. So I tried calling tech support, they don't have a number. So I tried creating an account and it didn't resize my mail server. Says wrong host. So I guess I'm screwed
