I'm having trouble starting my boat. Sometimes when I turned the key I heard a click and nothing. I tried again and again and finally the starter worked. I thought I might have a few bad spots on the starter so I decided to replace it. Called our local ship dealer parts department and they wanted over $400 for a new starter motor which I assumed was an OEM model. I found this one for less than $100 and knew it might be a refurbished unit (although I didn't see where it was listed in the description) so I went ahead and took a chance. I took the starter to my mechanic for replacement but he said he thought it was the starter relay and we should replace it first. I told him as I had already bought a new starter to replace it. Well, after a few boat rides I had no more problems. Given that I only installed it a few weeks ago, I can't comment on its durability yet, but so far it's been working great. Highly recommended at the current price.
