I use those HEAVY abs a lot now when frying bacon. I use the oven timer to remind myself when to turn the pieces during cooking. The strips are flat and crispy. The bacon press also makes it easier to "catch" the fat after frying and removing the bacon from the pan. (Tip: Put some paper plates on the table to hold the bacon ram while you flip the bacon strips to the other side. A fork and tongs work well for me. I usually take about 3-4 minutes depending on the thickness of the bacon on the first side and another 3 minutes on the other side. I leave a few folded pieces of kitchen paper to hold the bacon when it's done.) PS: It's made in Taiwan.
