Review on πŸ”’ Stant 10508 Locking Fuel Cap - Enhanced SEO by Adam Abner

Poor design, not easy and unreliable locking mechanism

Original product received and it wouldn't close. The returned product works but I still find the locking mechanism difficult to use at best. I used to have a locking cap and the key easily turned 180 degrees and it was locked. Just as easy to unlock. Not this locking mechanism. The key cannot be turned in any direction and clearly locks the lid. You have to play with it. The key turns clockwise about 90 degrees. The key cannot be removed, but must be returned to the middle position. clogged? Maybe sometimes. Likewise, a counter-clockwise rotation is only about 45 degrees. Here, too, the key must be returned to the head office. clogged? most likely not. Just not a clean and simple design. Either I have another defective block, or it's just a poorly designed and manufactured block.
