Review on 🌿 BRWISSEN Particulate Analyzer for Pollution and Formaldehyde by Tony Wylie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Otherwise so far so good!

Can't speak to accuracy; respond only to known air problems. And my comments are mostly related to product page information.1. Guide: quite comprehensive. About 8 "pages" with information in small letters, with color illustrations. Useful. This is not a booklet for beginners. The settings on the device also have a help panel.2. You must leave it alone for 8 hours as instructed to exclude chemicals from the box (shipping etc.). I also fully charged it.3. It has no temp/humidity but does have an operating range of 32-122F. So basically a household in Arizona.4. The screen has a configurable on/off backlight relative to the ambient light. I mean nothing in between. When off, it's off!5. Screens: - Main screen - large circle (PM), then HCHO, TVOC and CO2, color coded. You cannot select a large number (PM) - the top buttons allow you to view specific historical data points (History button) i.e. by the minute. scroll to select). Or a detailed PM screen and 12 hour per minute trend of the selected air item. You press the "Back" button to return to the main "Circle" screen. The line charts (above) are not updated dynamically. This means that the chart is the data before the corresponding chart is selected. Also, chart areas can be quite large. For example, the CO2 range is between 0 and 6000 and the bad range is all the way down (1500+)6. The alert is not affiliated with EPA/California. Specific to the unit. I turned it off as the main display is color coded (visually obvious). Maybe in the dark, maybe good.7. Measurements observed: - Bedroom closed at night: low CO2 before going to bed; morning moderate (as expected) - outdoors, house near highway: PM low but TVOC moderate moderate (interesting) - Asian indoor incense, 1 inch: immediate PM rise followed by longer TVOC hold (corresponding odors) 8. The Device saves minute measurements on the included micro SD (and can be viewed immediately via the history button). You can move the SD to your PC and view the SAVE.TXT file. Included data is anything you can view on the device (e.g. all PM metrics, etc.). Easily imported into a spreadsheet.9. Battery: can charge your PC (or power supply). A full charge took 3.5 hours with the display on. They recommend reloading 1 out of every 4 bars you have left. So 3.5 hours is 3 out of 4 cycles.

Pros
  • Airflow and air quality
Cons
  • No power
