Feel free! Obtain! I bought this to connect my 2017 MBP directly to a 40" Samsung 4K TV and use as a computer monitor to replace my 1080P dual setup. Fair enough to warn that I don't play games, so 60Hz is enough for performance. for...email sake, data analysis and creative work. It lets you control 4K resolution at 60Hz - as advertised. However, if you are a Mac user, you need to make some adjustments. Google: A patch to enable 60Hz on a MacBook Pro, you can find it from 9to5mac onwards.
