I installed them on our 2002 Highlander that was starting to drop the sunroof on us. After that I dismantled one of the old racks as it was quite difficult to close the hatch with those two racks. I could have, but my wife refused. With one of these and an old strut, the hatch opens readily and it still takes a bit of work to get past the initial part of the movement where the struts have the most power. .Installation was good and installation was easy if a bit tricky because I kept my head open the whole time the sunroof.
