Great Product - Lift Legs

Perfect fit and now it's like a new sunroof. Ease of installation. Open the hatch and support the hatch with a sturdy bar or 2x4 before removing the old ones. Do this one at a time so the hatch will fall down slower as it falls.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Damaged

Very strong lifters fit lifting legs

They fit my wife's 2006 Toyota Highlander perfectly. Her gas lifts were worn out and barely opened the back gate. Once they're in place, she pulls the handle to release the latch and pull the tailgate slightly, then steps aside. These lifts open the tailgate slightly.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Something different

Lasts like Viagra

Toyota SUVs are notorious for their tailgates, which will throw you on your head in cold climates. They start off fairly weak and wear out quickly. Virtually every Toyota SUV I've owned has done this. These Maxpow gas struts are beasts. I only have to open the hatch about 30cm and the struts do the rest to lift and hold it. Now I don't have to put my helmet on when removing my gear from the back of my Highlander.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Frequency

A good replacement for worn luggage racks

Perfect fit for our Highlander. The stands are solid and appear to be well made. Very easy to install. I used a ladder and a block of wood to hold the hatch open while removing and replacing one spacer at a time. Note how the old rack will be installed or take a picture before removing to install the new ones in the same way. The tailgate now opens and closes as it should.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions

Strong stands! to raise legs

I installed them on our 2002 Highlander that was starting to drop the sunroof on us. After that I dismantled one of the old racks as it was quite difficult to close the hatch with those two racks. I could have, but my wife refused. With one of these and an old strut, the hatch opens readily and it still takes a bit of work to get past the initial part of the movement where the struts have the most power. .Installation was good and installation was easy if a bit tricky because I kept my headโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Weight

Failed after a few months

Easy to install but after about 3 months my back starts to creak. The screws are tightened, I can't understand what kind of racket is in the back of the car. It took another 3 months to discover that the supports needed to be reinstalled just 6 months ago. For real? removed, took a test drive, now the car behaves calmly. ooooochen. I ordered a Tuff Support Kit. A funny review showed they failed and this person bought Maxpow. maybe they all come from the same factory in China with differentโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy design
Cons
  • Good but not great
