Review on ISpring FC25B High Capacity 🚰 Carbon Filter: Enhanced Filtration and Long-lasting Performance by Steve French

I was going to buy a Pelican carbon water filter but accidentally found this one. We had a really noticeable water odor and this does a great job of eliminating it. And twice I waited for the smell to come back and it took about 5 months so now I change it every 4 months and we haven't had any water smell. I haven't found a way to quantify how long this filter should run for. We also have iron and we always smell iron bacteria. And the iron filter part of it (although it's not what was bought) Works very well too. Before the filter, I had to treat the water heater with hydrogen peroxide about once every 3 months. Now with the included iron filter, I will clean the water heaters about once a year if there is just a slight sign of iron bacteria. There was a way to quantify how often this filter needed to be replaced. I looked at our Iron Per Minute from the test and looked at our typical water softener usage and iSpring specs. I calculated it should work for about a year and it always has. If I have any complaints, it's that when you change the cartridge you can get a lot of water all over the floor, but luckily in the basement.
