Review on Premium Quality: J.K. 🌟 Adams Large Reversible Maple Carving Board by Brandon Harding

This review is based on my initial reaction upon receiving this item. Haven't used it yet and will update my review when I have. what I originally bought it for - I don't think it's that heavy for its size (mine is 6.3lbs) which is something to consider if you're going to put a 20lb turkey on it - good deep grooves at about 1 Inches the edge holds 2/3 cup on the scored side and 3/4 cup on the flat side Negative: - I'm disappointed with the final sanding of the carving board. When I ran my hand over it, it was definitely very rough on the wood surface. Sure enough, when I tried to apply a coat of mineral oil to it, the wood kept ripping bits of material off the soft cloth I'd used to apply the oil. When this application of mineral oil is over I'll be sure to take a piece of fine sandpaper and smooth the surface to my liking. - no cutouts for the handles, which could be great for moving a heavy board with a turkey. Overall: - A decent carving board at a decent price of $66. I would probably buy again. UPDATE: Happy with this carving board two years/holiday seasons after purchase. I use it mainly for butchering turkeys and it holds the bird well and keeps all the juices. Big enough for my last turkey which was 24lbs.
