Premium Quality: J.K. 🌟 Adams Large Reversible Maple Carving Board Review

I am disappointed with the rough surface of the cutting board. I covered it with lots of mineral oil but the surface is still rough. This cutting board broke after a few months of use. I have always hand washed it and oiled it with mineral oil. I expected better quality from JK Adams.

In just 4 months, two joints have come loose and they are getting wider and wider. I have always kept this board clean and after each cleaning I have given it a light coat of food grade mineral oil. At this price I would have expected more staying power. A plastic cutting board is preferred at this stage.

This is exactly what I was looking for - something to hold the meat and catch the juice that comes out. Really fantastic product. I just wish there was a protective layer on it (or better if it really is). I want the protection it offers to keep it clean.

It was a good product, deep indentations, large surface area. Two sides - one side notched for full bird, the other side is flat. I've been using it sparingly for a year and oil it with Boos mineral oil at least once a month. Now the board has a crack and is leaking. The skewer extends from the outer edge through the juice well to the cutting surface. (see image) I will be contacting JK Adams customer service to see what can be done about this.

I'm a carpenter so maybe I'm picky but I found the finish a bit rough. There was roughness at the ends and rounded parts of the grooves that I will never miss in my workshop. I spent about 10 minutes on 220 grit sandpaper to smooth it out. The board is also ideal for carving meat. I cut up something really tasty here and didn't even come close to filling up. Bought for Thanksgiving turkey. I really like that it has a cut out for the turkey and the back is flat. I was surprised that the wood wasn't polished at all, it's very damp and unpolished in places; However, I've never had a good wooden board, and maybe that's to be expected?
