Good quality CAI fits Ram Air Kit

Installation was easy. The instructions were easy and I had minimal problems. Fit and connections were fine. The connection of the cover attachment near the radiator was a bit strange. My experiences so far after driving several hundred kilometers on the freeway and in the city have been favourable. My truck is a 2006 Ram 2500 Hemi 4X4. The only thing I did to it a while back was I installed a Dynomax stainless steel muffler into the stock exhaust system. It improved the sound a lot. Firstly, what I like about the K&N kit is that my Dodge has a deeper/louder growl between 2000-5000 rpm. Up to 2K there is no bootloader other than the stock bootloader. The usable torque seems to have increased somewhat in this speed range. Impressions of driving through the city are mixed, although I enjoy it. Motorway driving I feel like there is an improvement in both overtaking and long climbs. I haven't towed my 31ft camper yet or towed heavy loads to see if more power is really needed. There seems to be a noise. Right now, highway mileage has increased by an average of 1-2mpg. However, I'm still not sure if I'll be any better than in the city. The mileage suffers a lot when I accelerate hard. A 1mpg increase gives me about 35 more miles per tank. I take it every day! The only big question I have now is how this CAI will behave in AK in the winter. I have all the standard parts ready to return in case I run into any reliability/icing issues. After this winter (about 7 months in AK) I will know if I am really happy with this intake system.
