I bought this to replace the cheaper and older Cai I had on my RAM. It had a k&n round filter but an adapter on the throttle body. After installing this item, I noticed a noticeable difference between them. The ram has a lot of power at high speeds. I really wish I had bought it 20,000 miles ago! I have purchased this product with K&N products in the past. When I received the kit the overall quality of the tubes, filters and mounts was good. Screws, washers, nuts etc not much. Under light stress, several nuts ripped off and 2 bolts broke in half. I replaced all of the hardware included in the kit with class 8 components from a local hardware store. I had a few problems with this piece. I think this is more down to the seller than the product itself. When the package arrived it appeared to have been thrown from a plane and then butchered multiple times. The box was held together with a bundle of packing tape. I opened it up and everything turned out to be in order and the gear packs that came with it were still sealed.
