This product was intended to be a replacement BD/DVD drive for iMac model A1312. Unfortunately, the production of these slot-loading drives is slowing down, there aren't that many of them anymore. Hence the purchase of a refurbished product. This disc was manufactured in 2013 and although the electronics are fine and recognized by the operating system, it will not load or spin the discs. I'll be back. Ordering and shipping from Amazon was no problem and the seller was quick. Buyers beware of refurbished devices.
