Required for SilverStone FTZ01 cases. For some reason internal drives with Blu-ray slots are hard to come by as SilverStone has discontinued their own line of drives for this case. It does the job, but for those doing the same thing as me, the drive doesn't sit securely in the case. No thread points. I had to use strong double sided tape to keep it from sliding in. Update: This disc is missing a lot. It only stutters for half a second every 20 minutes or so. Very annoying.

I've spent a lot of time getting this to work. It spins up and the computer recognizes it, but the drive doesn't read the media. I later tried a second installation and encountered the same problem. The "Eject" button on the front panel looks very superficial as it doesn't touch anything inside and doesn't work. I had to disassemble the drive to remove the disc. This product was intended to be a replacement BD/DVD drive for iMac model A1312. Unfortunately, the production of these slot-loading drives is slowing down, there aren't that many of them anymore. Hence the purchase of a refurbished product. This disc was manufactured in 2013 and although the electronics are fine and recognized by the operating system, it will not load or spin the discs. Never tried it - the device is so fragile it's bent in my pocket and I couldn't open it. Caution - before plugging into your computer, store in a hard, sturdy container.
