My husband needed my help to install this new fixture, but it wasn't difficult. You may need an extra hand. It is well made and all the parts are supplied, even a mini-phillips head screw driver. Being a full 12" square it easily covered the footprint from my old round fixture. A big improvement in the look. It takes two standard E26 60 watt bulbs, but you can increase that by using LED's if you wish. I only had frosted LED's, but have ordered some clear Edison type bulbs in a warm white color for a better look. Since fixtures like this don't get much touching, it should last for many, many years or until you get tired of the look. It does have a classy design which should fit in most rooms.5 stars for the value, design and functionality.
