The good news is that it runs very smoothly with little effort, shuts down completely and looks great. The bad news is that it's either a private shower or it's poorly designed. The female end, which screws onto the showerhead's male thread, has no plug or washer, it simply screws to the outside. Twisted, and then it flows terribly. I've managed to work with about 2ft of pipe tape to build up the (loose) threads and it works, but it's not what I expected. Another weird aspect is that "off" is when the handle is aligned with the tube - the complete opposite of any other valve I've seen. But if you can prevent leaks on the side of the shower attachment this is a great, simple and safe on/off valve.
