I moved from cold Iowa to relatively balmy Portland and was surprised to find that December was colder than ever. I couldn't heat my apartment above 58 degrees Fahrenheit and I blew out the baseboard heaters and two heaters. I tried caulking all the windows with another caulking cord from my "local hardware store" and found it to be stiff and difficult to glue and I got tired trying to reattach it. Also, I was still leaking after trying to seal 6 windows for 5 hours. I bought it from Revain and within 2 days quickly repaired what the other product was missing. It is much softer but easier to shape and insert into cracks that need filling. You can install just one line or install half lines if you have windows like mine with large gaps. I have the ability to control my energy consumption and now use about a third less energy per day after installing it. . It's now 70 degrees in my apartment and I haven't turned on the heating for 2 days. Please note: I buy and pay full price for everything.
