People often have the question of whether to take a saw without a soft start and a riving knife. My experience with this model says that a smooth one would be superfluous here, in any case, with such a ratio of weight, disk diameter and engine power, the saw starts without jerks. As for the riving knife, I can say that the board tried to bite the disk more than once, but it was enough for me to see that the cutting speed was dropping, I stopped sawing and spread the board with a wedge. It also helps here if you do not saw with a disk for the entire reach, it is better to set the disk a couple of mm more than the board, then it will be much more difficult to bite the disk on the board. I can also note that it is not very easy to find a good and not very expensive 210x30 disc, the choice of the same Bosch models is much wider at 190mm. It should also be noted that you can install a disc with a 20mm landing, this model has such a function, although few people write about it. I can say about the engine that it is a workhorse, when dissolving the most difficult board along, the engine does not heat up in principle, although it happened that it was necessary without interruptions for 30+ meters of pagonknife (40-50mm). Your hand is numb to drive the saw, the engine is cold, the gearbox is slightly warm.
