crap! Shit! Shit! Weller is crazy! I have been using Weller products for over 40 years. They used to last for years. My soldering iron tips have always lasted months even with daily use. I just bought 2 packs of 2 and have already burned 3 out of 4 tips. In earnest! One of the spikes lasted a full 5 minutes before finally glowing brightly and cracking. I cut a piece of 10ga copper wire to use as a makeshift ferrule and it took a week so these OEM ferrules suck! And YES, I used the correct model attachments for my gun. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WELLER PRODUCT AGAIN!
