Disappointed - parts and accessories

This great, fantastic and durable soldering iron has been yours for years. Accidental use rendered a few tips useless (they broke) but still lasted a long time. So if you are looking for new tips what could be better than factory and homologated. To my great dismay, one of the new WELLER tips broke near the solder end after a week of quiet use. The second was not used. I immediately made a new one out of good quality copper wire as I had done many times before.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Updates available

7135W is the same tip as 7135N but without nuts

7135W same tip as 7135N but without nuts. You will need to bend the ends after putting on the old nuts you already have on your gun. Fits my 1970's 8200 and is cheaper than the one that comes with the nuts package. Plated square copper loop with a wider tip. If it's too expensive, you can do what I've been doing for decades. bend 12 AWG solid homemade wire into roughly the right shape, which works well but tends to end up burning through if you use flux.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Quality product at a fair price

They were made by Weller and appeared to be of good quality. When I ordered them they emailed me saying they were out of stock as expected. They told me they had ordered a new batch but would be about 3 weeks late and offered to cancel the order so I could order elsewhere. I told them it was ok to wait and they arrived in about 3 1/2 weeks. I appreciated the "chin up" in anticipation. They're hard to find except on Revain. I've ordered another set of these.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Secret

Weller is back in action

After bending the connecting piece of the tip and tightening the nuts in Weller, my old tool (it's over 20 years old) is back in action. One reviewer claimed that these tips weren't copper. Mine came in Weller brand bags and aren't magnetic, but just to be sure I filed the end of one of the tips where it protrudes from the hole on the side of the mounting stand and sawed through what appears to be copper metal. I have not done any chemical testing to test copper as there are several copper…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • A little change

After using another soldering iron that just wouldn't cut the mustard and then buying a 100 watt Weller gun that works great, I quickly realized I needed another overpriced replacement tip . Weller did not disappoint. Every prick of the soldering gun is worth a lot, because why not milk your loyal customers down to the last penny before they die. A good thing is that they do their job and get it right. overpriced? Of course. cut mustard? Yes, they cut mustard.

Pros
  • Tools and Household Items
Cons
  • Damaged

Absolute SHIT! best soldering and soldering equipment

crap! Shit! Shit! Weller is crazy! I have been using Weller products for over 40 years. They used to last for years. My soldering iron tips have always lasted months even with daily use. I just bought 2 packs of 2 and have already burned 3 out of 4 tips. In earnest! One of the spikes lasted a full 5 minutes before finally glowing brightly and cracking. I cut a piece of 10ga copper wire to use as a makeshift ferrule and it took a week so these OEM ferrules suck! And YES, I used the correct model

Pros
  • parts and accessories
Cons
  • big and bulky

Weller Replacement Tips for Soldering Gun

These tips are electroplated as shown; even though it says so in the description. These tips can be used in an older version of a soldering gun like mine that requires the tips to be bent. You simply place the zip ties on the ends of the soldering tips (threaded side out) and then take your pliers and bend the end sideways about 1/4" to 3/8" to fit the hole in the end of the soldering gun . . Note that the bend radius should be fairly tight, but don't try to make a perfectly straight right…

Pros
  • Soldering and Soldering Accessories
Cons
  • Slightly Wrinkled
