I like quality, but I'm a maker in my home workshop, not a real locksmith. I have a 15" x 40" lathe and bought the BXA size. I understand from the book that I should use the CXA, but I've seen several Aloris BXAs work well on similar sized lathes. Mine fits like a glove. After a month of home workshop use, the mechanism remains smooth and all tool holders work well. For the price, I find the workmanship and processing very good. The only issue I had was that the drive lever was screwed in too far and it would collide with the trigger when fully assembled. I trimmed the threaded side of the lever by one thread and now nothing bothers and everything is smooth. I would love to own an Aloris, but as a hobbyist I can't justify the price. This device is much more accurate and reproducible than I need for my work.
