I've wanted one of my favorite Norm Abrams tools for a long time. This is a mini circular saw with a 4 1/2 inch diameter blade. I finally got it. These types of saws, which are usually barrel-handled, tend to give more accurate results than a large top-handled circular saw. This range of blades allows for versatile use. The regular 24 tooth saw blade for wood is equipped with carbide teeth to guarantee you a long service life. The 24 tooth saw is not known for making smooth cuts in glass, but you can slice through more aggressive woods without slowing down. or burnt edges. Light sanding or the touch of a hand plane can smooth it out. 60T high speed steel is designed for soft metals like aluminum. High-speed steel isn't known for its durability, but carbide-tipped aluminum is almost overkill. Finally, the diamond blade is great for cutting tile and stone. Usually a tile cutter needs a wet blade tile cutter, but there are always those pesky parts that aren't quite right for a tile cutter and clean your hand so it's a pleasure to have that blade ready. All in all a good selection at an affordable price.
