I have put off buying an aquarium vacuum. Another well-known brand was simply too expensive. So I drew water in buckets. Buckets were used to collect water back into the tank. Use a net to remove large debris. I have live plants, lots of tiger mullet and a huge 12 inch Pleco. I wanted to clean my aquarium, but I didn't want to pull out all the buckets and nets, so I just postponed the cleaning month after month. I bought this 39 foot vacuum system. All I can say is WOW. The aquarium is as clean as ever. Vacuumed the gravel and sand around my plants with ease. I was able to adjust the flow with a valve. The other end connects to my sink in the bathroom across from the house. After removing about 50% of the water and removing all the gravel, I reversed the valve and began filling the reservoir with water at the ideal temperature. Added an anti-stress layer. Added fertilizer. Ready. . Fast and easy. I gave it 4 stars in one category because the plastic piece that connects to the sink doesn't hold up as well as it should. But I plan to take this threaded part to the store and get good brass. one. It should be important. But what came in the kit worked well, you just had to be gentle. Thank you and get one of these. I'll definitely be cleaning the tank more often now.
