Easy to install in HHR

It was easy to install and didn't require any special mechanical or electrical skills. A few tips: 1. Save time. Make sure you are working with a lamp that has 3 wires. This is the light that the T-connectors are connected to. I have a skylight on each side. I spent my time removing the bottom light first. 2. On the driver's side, just below the hole in the flashlight pocket, is a grounding stud with an 11mm nut. This can be used instead of drilling a hole for the ground wire. Be careful not to drop the nut when going down this path.3. After removing the loading area, the plastic paneling on the door latch pops out slightly. This makes it easier to lay the green cable on the passenger side so that it does not rub against sharp edges. Starting at the front corners, lift firmly to release the 2 tabs. Without bending the lid, roll back to release the 4 tabs on the back plastic. To install the cover, place the rear edge under the door seal and roll forward. Press down firmly to lock.4. Before installing the T-connector, remove the lamp socket to avoid breaking the locking tabs. Before removing the outlet, note where the locking tab is located. Rotate the connector counterclockwise approximately 1/4 turn, noting the angle of the connector to be used when reinstalling the connector, and pull out toward the front of the vehicle. After adding the tee, reinsert it and twist clockwise to lock.
