The jury has not yet determined the service life of the filter. Otherwise it is a good filter after air removal.
I can't say how long the filter lasts compared to other filters. It's a little longer than another brand I've used. The filter housing does not screw all the way in, but enough for the O-ring to seal. I'm constantly checking it for leaks, so I think I'd like it about 16 inches shorter. The cartridge seals are a nice and tight fit to the filter body, but I think the material used is tougher than another brand I've used. I have two different filter housings and they both fit the same.
