I liked this set of pliers because it includes both a wire cutter and a crimping tool. So when I'm working on a project, I only need this one tool instead of three. It cuts 14 gauge wire with ease, and when I attached the ferrules to the ends, I was able to crimp them with no problem. I haven't really used them as pliers, but if they work as well as wire cutters and crimping pliers, then it's worth it. Do not use on live wires as the handles, although plastic, are not insulated and there is also a warning on the packaging to this fact.
