Great concept, imperfect design. I bought this shower filter because it was listed as compatible with handheld showerheads. The problem is that the part of the filter that screws into the shower hose isn't deep enough to make contact with the rubber ring and create a seal. (If you need to measure how deep the hose is screwed in, you can also see that the filter at the top cannot be screwed in all the way because the filter itself is too small). without sealing on the inside, allowing water to simply drain off the sides. Unfortunately I have to send it back as it wastes water. EDIT: I decided to leave this because I bought some rubber washers to fold them in and help create a seal between the filter and the shower hose. It's working fine for now, but I'm hoping that the next version of this product will be a little more compatible with other shower heads, or maybe come with 'extensions' so people don't have to walk around Lowe's and Home Depot. just to buy rubber washers online like i did. I can't say much about the effectiveness of the filter itself, but I'm increasing my rating to 3 stars. If the filter had been suitable for my showerhead to begin with I might have given it a higher rating.
