The stripe is dark brown although uneven along the length of the stripe. The color change is noticeable up close, but not on the ground. It's beveled on both sides so there's no tripping hazard, probably all border signs are made that way, but it's the first thing that caught my eye and it's the only one I've ever bought. Although it is written that it worked for Neato vacuums with my Tesvor robot vacuum, I think it will work with all vacuums. It came with several 2" (approx.) strips of double sided tape, I would have preferred a marker length roll but small strips should work. I decided to return ours as I didn't want markers around the house which has nothing to do with that product has to do, but with an aesthetic preference.
